TEAR THEM BEFORE YOU TOSS THEM!
Box Tops for Education
Box Tops is a program that allows consumers to
clip small coupons off of hundreds of food products and donate them to local
schools. The schools are then able to redeem them for 10 cents apiece (products
include cereals, flour, Hamburger Helper, snack foods, etc.)
Box Tops further contribute to schools through online purchases and a visa
program. Each school can earn up to $60,000 per year; $20,000 for each of the
three programs.
Box Tops presents an incredible opportunity to schools. The participating
product range is broad, popular, and affordably priced. Furthermore, the
potential can be seen in an example from Oregon. Congratulations goes out
to Prineville, (Population 7,356), which has led the state in Box Top dollars;
the unified community was able to raise $6,969.60 for
Crooked River Elementary School ; Aumsville, (Population 3,003), came in second
place, gaining $2,613.50 for their elementary school.
Larger schools have a opportunity to earn much more. The key is in getting
a volunteer that is excited about leading the program. Contests,
parental awareness, and expressing the potential of Box Tops all contribute to
success.
Let's pull together; let's clip, shop, and support our local schools. As a
community we can make a difference.
